Bill 212

The word “Ontario” in black text with a stylized trillium flower logo beside it, set against a light textured background.

Please be advised that Bill 212 – Reducing Gridlock, Saving You Time Act, 2024, received royal assent on November 25, 2024. This bill includes the Highway 413 Act, which exempts Highway 413 from the Environmental Assessment Act (EAA) and creates a new process for assessing the environmental impacts of the Highway 413 project.  This process involves the publication of a draft and final Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR), which will include a description of the studies completed, the assessment of impacts, proposed mitigation measures, and a record of consultation.  We are currently updating our website to reflect these legislative changes.
